Choosing a Condenser Stand, Wall Brace, or Tie-Down Kit

Condenser mounting products solve different installation problems. A stand raises and supports equipment, a wall brace moves it off the ground, a security cage limits access, and tie-down clips help secure the unit to an approved base or stand. Choosing the right category begins with the installation location.

Pad or rooftop equipment stands

An aluminum equipment stand is useful when the condenser must be elevated above a pad or roof surface. Elevation can help with drainage, service access, vegetation, snow, or project requirements. Confirm the stand width, height, leg configuration, equipment footprint, and rated application. The supporting roof or pad must be suitable for the combined load.

Wall brace kits

A wall brace supports equipment from a wall when ground space is limited or elevation is required. Verify wall construction, bracket spacing, condenser dimensions, fastener requirements, and service clearance. The wall and attachment method must be capable of supporting the equipment and design loads.

Tie-down clips

Engineered condenser tie-down clips are used to secure compatible equipment to a suitable pad, stand, or mounting surface. They do not replace the stand or structural base. Review the engineering document, fastener requirements, equipment layout, and local wind or building-code requirements before installation.

Security cages

A security cage is selected primarily to deter unauthorized access or theft. Check the condenser footprint, service-panel location, refrigerant-line path, and clearance needed for airflow and maintenance. A cage should not restrict required equipment clearances.
